In Prayer and Solidarity with Ukraine: Stay up to date about UCU’s response to the war in Ukraine
Located in Western Ukraine, Ukrainian Catholic University (UCU) is the first Catholic university on the vast territory of the former Soviet Union. The university is open to members of all religious denominations and is guided by Western and Catholic principles of ethics, compassion, and transparency. Since the start of the unjustified Russian invasion, UCU students have continued their studies and with their service learning education bravely support humanitarian efforts in Ukraine.
Through its fundraising activities in the United States, UCU Foundation, a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization, assists UCU in meeting its educational and financial challenges and gives U.S. donors a secure way to support UCU.

WHAT LEADERS ARE SAYING

“I see Ukrainians giving their rooms and houses to those who have lost their homes, such as here at the Ukrainian Catholic University… I see people who are patriots. I see Ukrainians who do not allow evil to say the last word. Life will overcome darkness… There is no depression in Ukraine, there is hope.”
Cardinal Timothy Dolan
Archbishop of New York

“UCU responds to the needs of a new generation, building a new Ukraine. The new generation is studying at UCU, with a mission to serve, to create a better society… This is a marvelous story of God’s will and passionate, dedicated people.”
Natalie Jaresko
Former Minister of Finance in Ukraine

“I’m a very strong supporter of UCU for these reasons. It’s a university for all Ukrainians, with students and staff from throughout Ukraine and of various religious backgrounds. It provides a high-quality education. It’s based on ethics and morals.”
John Hewko
