For the 12th time, friends and benefactors of the Ukrainian Catholic University (UCU) gathered in Lviv, Ukraine, for the annual Perelaz (Friendly Crossings) Folk-Ball on May 25. The benefactors provided 56 scholarships for students and teachers’ salaries. Also, 2 million hryvnias collected (approximately US $ 76,000) are to be used to build a new sports area. Previous folk-balls were held at the UCU campus on Khutorivka Street. This year it was held on the new campus on Kozelnytska, which is home to the church, collegium, library, and academic building.
