The New York 20th Annual Luncheon to Benefit UCU was a spectacular event and a great success thanks to your support! The stately, historical University Club provided a beautiful backdrop for this distinguished and memorable celebration.

The newly installed rector of UCU, Dr. Taras Dobko, provided an overview of the past year and shared his vision for the future. Guests were treated to some truly inspirational speakers, including The Honorable Larisa Galadza, Former Ambassador of Canada to Ukraine; Archbishop Borys Gudziak; The Honorable John E. Herbst, Senior Director, Eurasia Center, Atlantic Council and Former Ambassador of the United States to Ukraine; and Rev. Dr. Bohdan Prach, Former Rector, Ukrainian Catholic University.

Music was provided by soprano and bandurist Teryn Kuzma, and guests had the opportunity to mingle with many venerable guests including Cardinal Timothy Dolan.

A number of exciting announcements were made during our luncheon:
- Self-Reliance (NY) Federal Credit Union announced a donation of $30,000 towards the establishment of The Rev. Dr. Bohdan Prach Endowed Scholarship. Additionally, The Lydia Jarosewich Family Trust in memory of Nadiya Voynarovska and Liubomyr Makarushka donated $2,500 in the Reverend’s honor.
- Dr. Oleh Tretiak and Dr. Renata Holod Tretiak with Christine Tretiak Kydon completed their pledge of $50,000 to establish The Konstantin and Maria (Pytel) Tretiak Memorial Scholarship Fund
- Plast USA recently completed the initial funding needed for the Artem Dymyd Scholarship Endowment Fund and also announced the launch of a national campaign to establish an endowed scholarship fund to provide full scholarships for talented and deserving students who have shown exemplary devotion to the values of Plast.
