After speaking with many ESS program alumni in America, we have decided to move our inaugural event to an online format so that more of our friends across the country can participate. Please help us make our first event a success by inviting your friends and those who would like to learn more about the ESS program!
Ukrainian Catholic University’s English Summer School Program invites alumni, friends, and those interested in learning more about volunteering to teach English to UCU students to join us for a fun and interactive online event.
- Reconnect with ESS friends
- Learn about the ESS program
- Hear from current and former UCU students
- Get an update about UCU
A special breakout session will be held during the event for those who have not yet participated in the ESS program and are interested in learning more about volunteer opportunities.
Please contact Sophia Charron at scharron@ucufoundation.org or 412-883-0506 with any questions.
About ESS:
The annual English Summer School (ESS) at Ukrainian Catholic University is an intensive English immersion course that provides opportunities for UCU students to spend two weeks during the summer fully immersed in the English language with native English speaking volunteers. This two week immersion experience takes place in Western Ukraine and also provides opportunities for spiritual growth and fun. The ESS is an important project jointly sponsored by Ukrainian Catholic University (UCU) and the Ukrainian Catholic University Foundation.
Opportunities to participate in the ESS teaching program are available in-person during the summer and online throughout the school year. All UCU students are required to take English language instruction during their time at UCU. With the help of volunteers from around the world, UCU students master the language, allowing them to further their education in any part of the world.
